Our Business

Located approx. 10 miles west of Salina, KS. and just 1 mile off I-70, my shop is nestled in the small town of Hedville with wonderful neighbors and sounds of chickens in the background. Who We Are

The oldest of 5 children, raised in a small town in central Ks., I have been cooking and baking since I was old enough to reach the stove. After I graduated high school it seemed only natual to accept a job @ the old Red Coach Restaurant as baker. It was there I discovered the joy of cake decorating and made cakes for friends and family on the side. After 7 years of employment, I decided to expand my horizons and was hired @ the Salina Country Club as pastry chef. [as I continued to do more involved cakes] After 2 years of employment there, I had the opportunity to open my own cafe and bakery where I did all the cooking, baking, and cake decorating. Naturally, it was a huge load, so after 1 year I decided to hang up my apron there and went full time into cake decorating.This is where I have been ever since.

I have found many wonderful fellow cake decorators and pastry chefs through an organization called I.C.E.S. which stands for the International Cake Exploration Society. This cake club boosts members from 36 countries and an annual convention, which I have be fortunate enough to attend twice. Here, you can purchase any cake item imaginable and take demonstrations from decorators that are world famous! I continue to be a member in good standing, and like any other profession, continue to learn new techniques constantly!
